Why You Need to Stop Drinking Bottled Water?

by Dr. Jonathan Doyle |

Did you know that humans buy about 1,000,000 plastic bottles per minute? Another shocking statistic is that 91% of all plastic is not recycled. Many of those plastic bottles go straight to landfills—or even worse, to the ocean. We need urgent action to stop this plastic pollution epidemic.
I believe the solution is to drink filtered water. A reverse osmosis water filtration system is the best solution, with a filtration accuracy of 0.0001 μm. Many people complain that the reverse osmosis system is too wasteful, so they’d rather drive a couple of miles to get the bulky bottled water at Costco.
Let’s not talk about the carbon footprint created by this action. You have to carry those bottled waters home and then bring them to the kitchen or another storage area. However, if you have a water filtration system, you can access clean and safe drinking water all day without waiting. That’s awesome for a lazy person like me. As for the wasteful point, the home appliances that we use, like washing machines and dishwashers, waste every gallon of water they use. Can you still blame the reverse osmosis system for generating wastewater? And in any event, this wastewater can be collected for household chores, such as watering the garden. The most important part of getting an RO system is that it’s a sustainable way of getting drinking water. No more plastic bottles!
The biggest mistake that people make is believing that someone else will take care of the environment and generate a magical solution to solve the problem of waste. Please take action now and become part of the solution. Choose our planet over plastic. Say NO to bottled water and drink more filtered water.
