Does MWF filter remove pharmaceuticals?

Will this GE MWF filter reduce the rust taste?
- Yes, and it totally reduced the chlorine flavor and rust taste, most of the bad taste and odor.
How often should the filter be replaced?
You will need to change your refrigerator water filter every six months or 300 gallons, as:
- It produces great-tasting and great-smelling water.
- It helps reduce fine particles and sediment from the water.
- It prevents unadsorbed water contaminants and newly formed bacteria from being reintroduced into your drinking water.
- It prevents a decrease in water pressure from the dispenser.
- Drinking filtered water from your refrigerator can save you over $600 a year as compared to the use of bottled water.
How to install this GE MWF refrigerator water filter?
Installation is easy. The detailed steps are as follows:
- Grasp the old filter, slowly rotate it 90° counterclockwise, and take it off the connector.
- Align the new filter with the connector and insert the top of it into the filter holder. Slowly rotate it 90° clockwise until it is firmly seated.
- Run water from the dispenser for 5 minutes to clean the system and prevent sputtering.
what size “o ring” do I need to use?
- Typically no “o ring” is needed. GE MWF water filters are installed as-is. If your particular refrigerator components are damaged or missing, you can check the refrigerator manual or go online to ask. Up the filter does not have an o ring of its own.
Is the basic Standard made with the coconut shell?
- The filter material in this filter is a 100% Sri Lankan selected coconut shell carbon block, with 2x larger surface area and more micropores. You can rest assured to use.
What to do if the water tastes bad at first?
- If you find that the first few glasses of water taste bad, please run water from the dispenser for 5 minutes about 2.5 gallons to clear the system.
Does the water come out slower with this GE MWF filter?
- No, the filter material in this filter is a 100% Sri Lankan selected coconut shell carbon block, with 2x larger surface area and more micropores. Faster flow rate than general filter materials.
Need I run plenty of water through it before use?
- Run water from the dispenser for 5 minutes at 0.5 gpm（about 2.5 gallons）to clear the system and prevent sputtering, all to be certain the loose carbon was washed clean and no signs of it.
Why is there water spewing out from the MWF water filter when I try to install it?
- ·The filter was empty so it has to do with the water source not complete off.
- ·A gasket or seal problem.
- ·Not screwed on tight enough
- ·Forced on, damaging plastic threads.
- ·Not seated correctly. You need to push up and turn to the right.
- Those ways seemed to eliminate much of the usual sputtering.
