How do backwash water filters work?

When the pre-filter operates in the service mode, it traps and holds particles in the filter mesh. The backwashing is done by sending water down to the filter bottom, with a force that swirls and tosses the granular impurities. The water carrying the impurities is then released from the system through the exit at the top of the filter.

How long does the filter in the backwash spin-down sediment filtration system last?

The three AAA batteries that come out-of-the-box can last up to one year.

How to install the full-automatic backwash spin-down sediment filtration system?

The system is already pre-installed, so installation is quite easy and you do not have to worry about a failed installation. Simply connect the water pipes to the system according to the instructions in the manual. You get four types of screw threads out-of-the-box for the connection: 1” MNPT, 3/4” MNPT, 3/4” FNPT and 3/4” push-fit plumbing fitting.

Why does water leak from the housing connection?

There are four possible causes: ① A possible loose connection at the joints. You should retighten the threaded joint with a wrench. ② The sealing gaskets are damaged. Please replace the sealing gaskets. ③ The filter parts have been disassembled. Please check if the seal gaskets are misaligned or missing. ④ Not enough Teflon tape on the threads. Please reapply Teflon tape and tighten.

Why does water appear cloudy and gray?

This may be due to inadequate flushing. Please press the “FLUSH” button to enter the manual flushing mode. It is best to flush the sediment filter for about a minute, at least twice, before the first use.

Why does water flow slowly after installation?

This is because the inlet valve isn’t fully turned on or the surface of the pre sediment filter is partially blocked. Please ensure the inlet valve is fully opened and flush the filter mesh to remove all impurities.
